ReplyDeletePlease share this at ON THE MENU MONDAY. Linky goes live Sunday evening at 8:00!
This is a keeper!
Thanks Yvonne! Will do my best to remember to link it on Sunday evening. Let me know how you liked the ice cream....I like mine with blackberries on top; you can't get that at DQ!
DeleteMarcia can you tell me how much is a small can of evaporated milk?..as here we only have the regular size. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteFABBY
The small can is 5 ounces. Good luck with the ice cream project. Thanks for reading my blog!
DeleteSo, let me confirm: I do not churn this in the ice cream maker? I just pour it into the freezer part and freeze after stirring together?
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you linked to Food on Fridays--this sounds like a fun idea for my kids, who are ice cream fiends!
Sorry, Ann, churning is always involved in making homemade ice cream :) Thanks for hosting every Friday; appreciate it!
ReplyDeleteI would love to find a good icecream recipe that didn't need churning.
ReplyDeleteI found this on Stone Gable's On the Menu Monday. I have linked in a fried chicken dish that you don't want to look at if you are dieting! Have a nice week.
Thanks for that fried chicken recipe. That's one of my personal favorites.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds so good, especially with the hot weather we have been having! Who wouldn't love to have some delicious, homemade ice cream? :-))) Thanks so much for linking up with "Try a New Recipe Tuesday!"
ReplyDeleteI will have to try this:) I owned a Dairy Queen for 20 years and I see one big problem with this recipe...Dairy Queen is 97% fat free! I bet yours is delicious though:) I sold my Dairy Queen 5 years ago and I so miss the soft serve. Years ago we did serve blackberry topping! (it was delicious)I always used to put it on banana splits instead of pineapple. Oh boy..now I'm craving it!
ReplyDeleteDairy Queen vanilla with blackberry topping sounds like the ultimate dessert!!
DeleteThis sounds delicious! My kids love their ice cream so I can't wait to make it at home :)
ReplyDeletegonna have to try this for sure come see what we shared at http://shopannies.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteI have high hopes for your Dairy Queen knock-off ice cream recipe. With that ingredient list it can't help but be good. YUM. Thanks!
